The Trafford Centre
The Trafford Centre is one of the largest shopping and leisure destinations in the UK, located on the western edge of Manchester. The Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre was a multi-storey indoor shopping centre on Baillie Street in Rochdale town centre, anchored in earlier years by Argos, Wilkinson, New Look, TJ Hughes and Peacocks. The centre lost its anchor tenants progressively from 2017 onwards and has been permanently closed as a retail destination since the Covid-19 lockdowns of 2020, with approved plans to convert its upper floors into a banqueting hall and events venue.
